- Erhöht die Harzproduktion: Viele Züchter berichten von Steigerungen um 35 % oder mehr. UVR8 ist ein Protein, das von einigen Pflanzen als Abwehr gegen UVB-Licht gebildet wird. Es wird durch UVB-Licht bei 288 nm stimuliert.
- Tötet oder unterdrückt Mehltau: Bewährt bei der Beseitigung von Echten Mehltaupilzen und anderen Schimmelarten, die in einer Umgebung mit hoher UV-Strahlung nicht überleben können.
- Tötet oder unterdrückt Insekten: 66 % UVA-Anteil der Lampen sind dem Sonnenlicht nachempfunden, aber wesentlich intensiver.
- Kompaktere, dichtere Blütenbildung (weniger Vergeilung): Hohe UVB-Belastung reduziert das Höhenwachstum der Pflanzen während der Blüte, da sie die Energie stattdessen in die Harzproduktion stecken.
UVB-Licht (im Bereich von 280–320 nm) stammt normalerweise von der Sonne. Wenn eine Pflanze UVB bei 288 nm wahrnimmt, bildet sie das UVR8-Protein. Dieses Protein wirkt als chemischer Botenstoff und signalisiert der Pflanze, mehr Öle und Harze zu produzieren, um sich vor den UVB-Strahlen zu schützen.
Nur Solacure-Lampen erzeugen den UVR8-Effekt.
Kaum eine Lampe erzeugt UVB im Bereich von 280–320 nm, teils wegen der Beschaffenheit des Glases. Solacure-Lampen sind die einzige Ausnahme, denn sie verwenden Glas, das speziell für die Transparenz im gesamten UVB-Spektrum entwickelt wurde.

ANWENDUNGSHINWEISE
Die genaue UVB-Expositionszeit variiert, aber ein guter Einstiegspunkt ist:
1. Beginnen Sie mit 2 Stunden täglich, aufgeteilt in zwei Intervalle à 1 Stunde (innerhalb Ihrer Lichtphase).
2. Erhöhen Sie die Bestrahlungszeit alle ZWEI Tage um 15 Minuten und prüfen Sie die Blattspitzen auf Anzeichen von Verbrennungen – dann haben Sie das "kritische Maß" gefunden und den optimalen Wert erreicht, den Ihre Pflanze aufnehmen kann.
Hinweis: Die notwendige UV-Menge variiert von 2 bis 6 Stunden täglich im Growzelt und bis zu 12 Stunden in größeren Räumen.
Die Lampen sollten während der gesamten Blütezeit eingesetzt werden.
Für die Harzproduktion halten die Lampen bis zu 3 Blütezyklen, zur Unterdrückung von Schimmel, Mehltau und Schädlingen können sie bis zum endgültigen Ausfall (ca. 3000–4000 Stunden) verwendet werden.
Wichtig: Tragen Sie Sonnenschutz und eine Schutzbrille, wenn Sie unter dieser Lampe arbeiten.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
