Hergestellt aus hochwertigstem, sterilisiertem Torf nach strengen Standards, werden Jiffy-7 Torfquelltabletten weltweit im professionellen Gartenbau eingesetzt.
Die mit Abstand meistverkaufte Größe der unten aufgeführten Varianten ist 41 mm x 42 mm; diese Größe passt perfekt in unsere Grodan-Pflanzwürfel, die mit einem großen Loch versehen sind. Legen Sie die Torfquelltabletten einfach in eine Schale oder einen Zimmergewächshaus-Einsatz (mit der Lochseite nach oben – das erkennen Sie, wenn Sie die Tabletten vor sich haben), geben Sie etwas handwarmes Leitungswasser auf den Boden des Behälters und beobachten Sie, wie sie sich innerhalb von etwa 20 Minuten ausdehnen.
Die Tabletten haben einen pH-Wert von 5,3, daher ist eine pH-Anpassung des Leitungswassers nicht nötig. Sie sind zudem vollständig vorgedüngt, so dass Nährstoffe in diesem Stadium ebenfalls nicht erforderlich sind.
Wenn Sie Samen einsetzen möchten, machen Sie ein kleines Loch von etwa 5 mm Tiefe in die Oberseite der Torftablette, geben Sie den Samen hinein und bedecken Sie ihn vorsichtig wieder. Für Stecklinge stechen Sie mit einem Zahnstocher oder einem ähnlichen Gegenstand ein tiefes Loch in die Tablette, tauchen Sie den Steckling in Clonex und stecken Sie den Stiel etwa zu 2/3 in die Tablette. Ist der Steckling fest eingesetzt, drücken Sie den Torf ganz sanft um den Stiel, damit keine Luft eindringen kann und für besseren Halt gesorgt ist.
Sobald Wurzeln sichtbar sind, können Sie die Torfquelltablette einfach in einen Grodan-Pflanzwürfel einsetzen.

This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
