Die Leuchte besteht aus einem Vorschaltgerät, Reflektor und einer Lampe in einem kompletten, kompakten Paket. Nach gärtnerischen Standards gefertigt, ist das Gehäuse des Vorschaltgeräts versiegelt und enthält einen Gore-Tex-Stecker zur Belüftung, der gleichzeitig Staub und Feuchtigkeit fernhält.
Die Ausgangsleistung des Vorschaltgeräts wird entweder durch die Gavita Master Controller oder einen externen Schalter geregelt, sodass sie auf 600, 750, 825, 1000 W und einen Boost auf 1150 W eingestellt werden kann. Mit dem Master Controller kann die Leistung von Hunderten von Leuchten zentral in einem Bereich zwischen 500 und 1150 W gesteuert werden.
Die Verwendung des Master Controllers schützt Ihre wertvolle Ernte durch zusätzliche Funktionen wie automatische Dimmung und automatisches Abschalten und automatisiert die Lichtsteuerung vollständig.
Die kompakte Komplettleuchte enthält Lampe, HR96-Reflektor und ein Vorschaltgerät in Gartenbau-Qualität in einer umfassenden Einheit. Der höhere Output und die gesteigerte Effizienz des branchenüblichen HR96-Reflektors machen ihn zum Arbeitstier der Produktfamilie.
Die Ausleuchtung der Pro 1000, ausgestattet mit dem HR96-DE-Reflektor, beträgt etwa 4 x 6 Fuß (110 x 180 cm) bei einem Abstand von 90 cm bei überlappender Anordnung und ermöglicht Lichtstärken bis zu 1000 μmol s⁻¹ m⁻². Der Reflektor ist austauschbar (wir empfehlen, ihn jedes bis alle zwei Jahre zu ersetzen).
Die Lichtquelle des Geräts ist eine Gavita Pro Plus 1000W Doppelend-HPS-Lampe, die 2100 μmol s⁻¹ Licht erzeugt. Dank einer Lichtausbeute von über 96 % nach 5.000 Betriebsstunden muss sie nur einmal pro Jahr gewechselt werden.

Inspired to create a chair where the back and arms are moulded from a single piece of plywood, Hecht and Colin describe employing a process similar to that a tailor might use to cut a pattern in fabric. This approach resulted in the beautiful structure wherein the moulded back and arms component is supported by a simple A-frame wood dowel construction. One of the benefits of this design is an increase in comfort due to natural movement in the plywood back.
